Corona virus
Based on available data, there is no evidence to suggest that Covid-19 increases the risk of miscarriage or congenital anomaly. However, some risk factors have emerged recently that increase the likelihood of more severe Covid-19 disease in pregnant women. This is especially true for pregnant women who belong to the risk group.
So far, no direct transmission (vertical transmission) of Covid-19 virus has been described from mother to child during pregnancy or delivery. However, infection is possible from mother to child after birth via the common human-to-human route.
If you have a cough, fever or have been in contact with someone infected with corona virus, please perform a self-test before coming to the practice. If you are unsure if you can go out, contact us by phone first.
